Scuola, un rientro fra ansia e promesse disattese

TORONTO – Rientro a scuola fra assembramenti, preoccupazioni e promesse disattese. Come molti genitori temevano, il primo giorno di scuola – ieri per gli studenti di Toronto – non è stato uno dei quei giorni da ricordare con piacere. Davanti agli istituti, assembramenti. Era ampiamente prevedibile, visto che i ragazzi non si vedevano da mesi. Ma evidentemente il “piano” elaborato dal governo provinciale e dai vari provveditorati (sia quello pubblico, il TDSB, che quello cattolico, il TCDSB) non ci avevano pensato. School, a return full of anxiety and unfulfilled promises

TORONTO – Back to school amid gatherings, worries and unfulfilled promises. As many parents feared, the first day of school – today for Toronto students – was not one of those days to remember with pleasure. In front of the institutes, gatherings. It was largely predictable, as the boys hadn’t seen each other for months. But evidently the “plan” elaborated by the provincial government and by the various administrations (both the public one, the TDSB, and the Catholic one, the TCDSB) had not thought about it. On Thursday, health officials in Spain logged 4,763 new infections. Of the cumulative 4.9 million confirmed positive cases, 92.4% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 71, bringing the total number of fatalities to 85,218.
