On Friday, health officials in Mexico logged 3,000 new infections bringing the total caseload to more than 2.4 million since the onset of the pandemic. Of that cumulative total, nearly 80% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Mexico’s Ministry of Health reported an increase of 425 Covid-related deaths for a total of 222,657 fatalities.
