On Wednesday, health officials in the UK logged 26,068 new infections, the highest single day increase in five months. The total number of confirmed positive cases now surpass 4.8 million. Of the cumulative total, 90.1% are considered recovered. Since yesterday, Covid-related deaths increased by 14, bringing the country’s total fatalities to 128,140.
The name Amazon is an afterthought. “Cadabra” was Jeff Bezos’ first choice but his lawyer pointed out that the word is ambiguous, it being associated with what is uttered when performing magic, ie, abracadabra. The replacement is a better choice: Amazon, for the largest river. →

Kanadas Geburtstag ist ein informeller Name, der nach Canada Day geht.
