TORONTO – Make it easier for foreign workers to find employment that reflects their professional field. This is the objective of a project presented today in Queen’s Park by the Minister of Labour Monte McNaughton, which if it were to be approved would eliminate the requirement – requested by 23 trade associations – for which a given foreign worker must have work experience in Canada before having his professional qualification equalized. The measure specifically illustrates different job categories that will be affected including architects, engineers, teachers, social workers and accountants. →
TORONTO – Over 100 more cases in 24 hours, compared to the same number of tests analyzed: today Ontario recorded 413 new ones, detected on 31,800 swabs carried out, compared to 304 on Wednesday when the tests had been more than 31,000. The positivity rate therefore goes back to 1.6% (24 hours earlier it was 1.3%). 4 deaths recorded today, the same number as on Wednesday. →

With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 22.3 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on October 21, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 22,689 vaccine doses on Wednesday, down from 25,284 doses the day prior. →
