Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

On Monday, health officials in the US logged 15,830 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 83.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 97.1% are considered recovered. As of 4 pm, authorities have reported 36 Covid-related deaths for a total of 1,020,906 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
TORONTO – The federal and Ontario governments are jointly investing more than $1 billion to help Stellantis reorganize its Canadian auto plants to produce electric vehicles. Canada will allocate exactly $529 million and Ontario $513 million.
Created in 2003, Mississauga–Streetsville is situated in the Regional Municipality of Peel. It encompasses the north-west portion of the City of Mississauga and includes the communities of Meadowvale and Streetsville. With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 32.7 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on May 2, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 6,015 vaccine doses on Sunday, down from 16,739 doses the day prior.
