Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – The land development industry has come under severe scrutiny in recent months. Some of its practitioners have adopted an aggressive, and never endearing, demeanor in respect of their purchased rights. That often puts them in conflict with established or implied, community values [and rights].
TORONTO – Two Canadians have died, perhaps even a third one, in Israel, in Hamas’ attack: Foreign Minister Melanie Joly confirmed it today, adding that assisted departures for Canadian citizens (including dual citizens) and their families will begin by the end of the week. The minister also said the government is following reports that three more Canadians are missing and is in contact with the families of these people to offer support, while officials are engaging with local authorities to gather further information. →
