TORONTO – The multilingual press plays a fundamental and irreplaceable role in Canadian journalistic panorama and for this reason it must be protected and promoted. This is the message that emerged at the gala evening on Friday evening, where the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC) conferred the most valued awards recognizing the merit of journalists in the multilingual marketplace of our country.
TORONTO – It is that time of year when, irrespective of religious affiliation, men and women of goodwill reflect on those who have been a part of their life and accomplishments in the preceding months and take time out to acknowledge them with tokens of appreciation or occasion to break bread together in thanks.
TORONTO – Seven in ten Canadians (69%) think Justin Trudeau should step down as leader of the Liberal Party and as Prime Minister of Canada next year, before the federal elections scheduled for 2025. This figure stands at 81% among Alberta’s Canadians (compared to 73% in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, 70% in Ontario, 66% in British Columbia, 63% in Quebec and 62% in the Atlantic provinces).
