[GTranslate]ROME – The Embassy of Canada in Italy has issued the call for the ninth edition of the Canada-Italy Award for Innovation 2021, aimed at promoting projects to build new ways of living and working together, in order to adapt and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. The opportunity is offered to projects in every sector, from research to information.

Born in 2013 with the aim of strengthening the ties between the two countries in the fields of science, technology, innovation and social sciences, the Award is aimed at researchers, scientists and professionals in the creative industries as well as all Italians “start-uppers” interested in developing their own research with Canadian colleagues. At stake, there is the reimbursement of expenses incurred for the realization of the project, up to a maximum of 3 thousand euros.

In the past editions, the Prize has met with considerable success. Numerous applications were received, coming from all over Italy and characterized by a high scientific-academic level and, as the Embassy itself explains in a note, for Canada this is “a source of pride and incentive to engage even more in the exchange between the two countries, to encourage economic development and the prosperity of our mutual societies”.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 1, 2021, the winners will be announced on May 17, 2021.
