“Playboy”, first single by America X: “An all-female revenge”
MASSA CARRARA (Italy) – It’s called “Playboy” and it’s the first single by a young emerging Italian talent, America X (in the pic above), a talented singer born in the province of Massa Carrara, in Tuscany (Italy). The song is a contemporary piece with an international sound and a female text “that breaks away from the individualistic stereotypes that want women to always be submissive: an all-female revenge”, explains the artist.
The singer herself admits that she draws inspiration from life to compose and owes the reason why she writes to personal experiences.
The name America X was born for a specific reason: that term encompasses particular aspects. “I chose my artistic name – she explains – for two reasons: first, because for me America represents the maximum of ambition. We Italians are very artistic… we are true creatives, I believe that the artistic sense that we Italians have, there isn’t in any other country in the world, but the Americans’ ambition is great and we miss that. It is something that excites me a lot”.
“The other reason why I chose my artistic name is because when America was discovered they gave it the name of “New World” and every emerging artist is a new world for people to discover… just like America was. And just like I am today”.
“Playboy” is a song born out of an anger moment: in fact it releases a crazy grit and an enthralling rhythm.
The producer of the single is Ugo Bongianni, arranger and pianist who has collaborated with many artists of national and international fame.
America X is followed by the music school “Il musicante” and by the vocal coach Patricia Bustos Wacquez of Chilean origin. For the realization of the video clip, the dancers of the “Caribe Loco” dance school owned by sisters Marilena and Valeria Minieri were involved: the chosen location is the four-star hotel “Esplanade” in Viareggio, while “Adamas Gioielli” in Balacco has contributed with its sculpture-jewels to making unique the image of America X. The video clip is directed by Fabrizio Ferrante from “Wilsson Media Production”. Here below is the video clip of “Playboy”.
