After private meetings between Pope Francis and First Nations, Inuit and Metis delegates this week, all parties met the Pope at the Vatican on Friday and, speaking in Italian, the Pontiff asked for God’s forgiveness, recognizing the wrongs done to Indigenous in residential schools.

On Thursday, health officials in Germany logged 208,653 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 21.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 78.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 241 Covid-related deaths for a total of 129,983 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

According to data last updated on March 30, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 9,457 vaccine doses on Wednesday, up from, 8,484 doses the day prior.

Covid-19, hospitalizations in Ontario are again above 800
TORONTO – Hospitalizations of Covid inpatients continue to increase in Ontario: today there were 807 people with the virus admitted to hospitals in the province, an increase from 778 yesterday and especially from 661 just a week ago (+ 22%) . Today’s is the highest number of hospitalizations since March 4, when 821 people with the virus were hospitalized. In intensive care there are 166 positive inpatients (yesterday 165, a week ago 165).
