Ukraine, the illusion of the diplomacy while the war continues
TORONTO – Keep the diplomatic channel open as Russia’s aggression continues. It is now quite clear the strategy desired by Vladimir Putin in this first week of conflict in Ukraine. The priority for the Kremlin is to achieve the pre-established goals on the ground as soon as possible, not completely closing the door to negotiations with Kiev. It remains to be seen whether this double channel – the war channel and the diplomatic one – is really kept in place for the real will to reach an agreement that provides for an immediate ceasefire, or – a thesis now supported by the vast majority of analysts – that this is just a façade move, a strategic diversion without any chance of success, a simple corollary to Putin’s real goal, that is, to continue his project of invasion of Ukraine.

Daily update of Ontario’s Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign
With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 31.7 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on March 2, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 19,014 vaccine doses on Tuesday, up from 16,438 doses the day prior.

TORONTO – Nonostante l’incognita futuro – nessuno sa cosa ci riserverà il Covid-19 nei mesi a venire – allentamenti alle restrizioni sono iniziati in tutto il mondo. Da ieri, in Ontario non viene più richiesto il passaporto vaccinale nella maggior parte dei ristoranti, palestre e cinema mentre i locali notturni, quelli sportivi e le sale per concerti possono eliminare i limiti di capienza. Probabilmente tra due settimane cadrà anche l’obbligo della mascherina. “Ci siamo quasi – ha detto nei giorni scorsi il premier della provincia Doug Ford – non è un segreto che io voglia togliere l’uso delle mascherine ma per farlo aspetto che il Chief Medical Officer of Health Moore mi dia il via libera”…

TORONTO – Con l’arrivo dei dati non forniti da alcuni ospedali durante il weekend, sale il numero di pazienti ricoverati per (o con) Covid-19 in Ontario: 914 quelli presenti ieri, contro gli 849 di lunedì e gli 842 di domenica. 278 quelli in terapia intensiva, uno in meno rispetto alle 24 ore precedenti. Resta comunque sotto quota mille il numero di persone infette all’ospedale…

On Tuesday, health officials in Spain logged 14,641 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 11.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 87.7% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 119 Covid-related deaths for a total of 99,883 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Restrictions removed, soon we return to the office
TORONTO – Despite the unknown future – no one knows what Covid-19 will hold for us in the months to come – easing restrictions has begun around the world. Since today, in Ontario the vaccination passport is no longer required in most restaurants, gyms and cinemas while nightclubs, sports clubs and concert halls can eliminate capacity limits. Covid-19 in Ontario, hospitalizations still below a thousand mark
TORONTO – With the arrival of data not provided by some hospitals over the weekend, the number of patients hospitalized for (or with) Covid-19 in Ontario rises: 914 those present today, against 849 on Monday and 842 on Sunday. 278 those in intensive care, one less than in the previous 24 hours.
