Status update of Covid-19 cases worldwide

Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of December 29, 2021, at 4:30 pm EST.

On Wednesday, health officials in Germany logged 41,816 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 7.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 83.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 381 Covid-related deaths for a total of 112,133 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Ontario, today 10,436 Covid-cases but they could be more than double

TORONTO – Covid-19 in Ontario, a new record broken: the province today recorded 10,436 new cases (and 3 deaths), surpassing the previous record-count of December 25 (10,412). But the actual infections in Ontario could be more than double: the laboratories have in fact processed 59,259 samples and 74,535 remain in the research phase. In aumento a Toronto la violenza armata
