MP Schulte undeterred by health issues

The federal government appears poised to call for an election during a pandemic. No matter when that call comes, political party members and their teams stand at the ready.

The situation is no different for the Honourable Deb Schulte, Member of Parliament for King-Vaughan and Minister of Seniors. In anticipation of that call to election, the Corriere Canadese spoke with Minister Schulte to address some key issues for Canadians.

Ontario, new record of infections: over 500. “The Delta variant leads the fourth wave “

TORONTO – They had just said it yesterday and so it is: Ontario has arrived in the fourth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, as today’s data confirm. 513 new cases in one day. A number that exceeds, for the first time since mid-June, the 500 daily infections, and which marks a daily increase compared to Wednesday, when 324 reports were recorded (321 on Tuesday, 325 on Monday and 423 on Sunday). In any case, more than double the 213 cases reported a week ago. Only on June 13, a higher number was registered than today: 530 cases. Adriana Leon and her gold medal from Tokyo to Toronto

TORONTO – Not every day you have the pleasure of shaking hands and congratulating an Olympic champion. Adriana Leon, striker of the Canadian women’s football team, just back from the Tokyo Olympics where the girls won the gold medal by beating Sweden, wanted to visit the old neighbors and friends of Maple where she was born and who since she was a young girl there they saw her grow up with the ball on her foot.  Continue reading→

Back-to-school: the TDSB is getting ready, the TCDSB is not

TORONTO – There are just over three weeks left before the start of the new school year. Another year that will begin with the specter of the pandemic. Just in view of the return to school of the boys, the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), illustrated at Highland Heights Junior Public School how it is preparing in terms of ventilation and safety measures. The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), on the other hand, has so far not made public any measures that will be adopted from September in its schools. Rientro in classe: il TDSB si prepara, le scuole cattoliche no

TORONTO – Manca poco più di tre settimane all’inizio del nuovo anno scolastico. Un altro anno che inizierà con lo spettro della pandemia. Proprio in vista del ritorno a scuola dei ragazzi, il Toronto District School Board (TDSB), ha illustrato alla Highland Heights Junior Public School come si sta preparando in quanto a ventilazione e misure di sicurezza. Il Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), invece, finora non ha reso pubblica nessuna misura che sarà adottata a partire da settembre nelle sue scuole.
