Reopening, Step 2 starts in Ontario tomorrow
We missed being able to dine outside, we missed coffee with friends, we missed the mall. But we also missed – and our uncultivated hairstyles bear witness to this – the hairdresser. From tomorrow, with Ontario entering Step 2, it will be possible to do all this and more. Status update of Covid-19 cases worldwide
Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of June 29, 2021 at 4:25pm EST.
On Tuesday, health officials in Spain logged 7,091 new infections, the highest single day increase since early May. The total number of confirmed positive cases approach 3.8 million. Of the cumulative total, 94.7% are considered recovered. Since yesterday, Covid-related deaths increased by 40, bringing the country’s total fatalities to 80,829.
Globally, over 181 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 166 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3.9 million worldwide.
Bangladesh has not updated the status of Covid-19 cases since June 28, 2021.
