Cable car crashed in Italy: the safety brake did not work

VERBANIA – It was supposed to be the Sunday of the restart, for Italy, after months of lockdowns and restrictions, but it will remain in the memory of the Italians as a tragic Sunday: yesterday in Piemonte, on mount Mottarone in Verbania, a cable car crashed, making a flight twenty meters and rolling downstream until it ends its death race against some trees. Funivia precipitata in Italia: il freno di sicurezza non ha funzionato

VERBANIA – Doveva essere la domenica della ripartenza, per l’Italia, dopo mesi di lockdown e restrizioni, ma resterà  nella memoria degli italiani come una domenica tragica: ieri in Piemonte, sul monte Mottarone a Verbania, una funivia è precipitata, facendo un volo di venti metri e rotolando a valle fino a terminare la sua corsa della morte contro alcuni alberi. On Sunday, Russian health officials logged 8,951 new infections. The country’s cumulative total of confirmed Covid-19 cases now top 5 million with 92.3% of all cases considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Russia reported 357 Covid-related deaths, bringing the total death toll to 118,482.

টরন্টো, মে ২১: আজ জাতীয় রাজস্ব মন্ত্রীর সংসদীয় সচিব ফ্রানসেস্কো সরবরা ইউনিয়ন ট্রেড অ্যান্ড ইনোভেশন প্রোগ্রাম (ইউটিআইপি)-এর অধীনে কলেজ অব কার্পেন্টার্স অ্যান্ড অ্যালাইড ট্রেডসের জন্য প্রায় ৮৯০ হাজার ডলার বিনিয়োগের ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন। আর ওই ঘোষণাকালে তিনি বলেন, ‘প্রশিক্ষিত পেশার মানুষ কানাডার জন্য দক্ষ জনশক্তি এবং স্থানীয় অর্থনীতির সামর্থ্য ও বৈচিত্র্যের বিবেচনায় পরিপূর্ণ সামার্থ্য সঞ্চার করবে। এই বিনিয়োগ ভন-উডব্রিজ এলাকার মানুষের জন্য এক ঝাঁক প্রশিক্ষিত জনশক্তি গড়ে তুলবে, এমনকী তা হবে বৃহত্তর টরন্টোর অর্থনীতির পুনরুজ্জীবনে নানাবিধ অপরিহার্য কর্মসংস্থানের প্রয়াস। ’ Continue reading→
