A ‘house concert’ for fortepiano and cello in Toronto: on stage Andrea Botticelli and Keiran Campbell
TORONTO – First “house concert” for the Italian-Canadian musician Andrea Botticelli and the cellist of the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Keiran Campbell (in the pic above): the event is on Sunday 26 May at 2 pm, in Toronto.
This is a special cello / fortepiano concert: the latter – played by Andrea Botticelli – is an original instrument from 1835, built in Vienna by Conrad Graf and restored in the Netherlands by Edwin Beunk. “We are excited to start showcasing the instrument for this first ‘house concert’ in Toronto” say the two musicians.
The program will present classical music contemporary to the instrument, with works by Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms.
