On Wednesday, health officials in Germany logged 98,458 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 25.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 96.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 222 Covid-related deaths for a total of 136,405 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
TORONTO – The total number of deaths related to Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in Ontario is approaching 13 thousand: today, 31 registered deaths (the highest number added to the provincial tally in more than a month), in addition to 16 just 24 hours earlier. The total is now 12,889.
With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 32.8 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on May 4, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered30,214 vaccine doses on Tuesday, up from 22,040 doses the day prior.
