Deputies “approve” Draghi
Split in the M5S
[GTranslate]ROME – After the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies also gives trust to the Draghi government, with 535 votes in favor, 56 against and 5 abstentions: among the “no”, those of Fratelli d’Italia (in whose team a deputy who left the Lega, Gianluca Vinci) and the “dissidents” of the M5S who will probably have the fate of their colleagues in the Senate who had voted no to trust and who were expelled from the Movement.
Very hard Giorgia Meloni, leader of the only opposition force, Fratelli d’Italia: “If FdI had chosen to stay in this government, Italy would not have had an opposition, moving closer to North Korea”.
In his reply to the speeches of the deputies, Prime Minister Draghi has focused heavily on simplification to facilitate the recovery of the economy, on the fight against corruption, on the commitment to prisons, on sport and on tourism.
On the prison houses, in particular, Draghi said that the government will care about “the condition of all those who work and live in prisons, often overcrowded, exposed to risk and fear of contagion”. His government will also commit itself to “improving civil and criminal justice” and the need for “a fair and reasonable trial in line with the duration of other European countries”.
