Ebola outbreaks in Congo and Guinea

WHO will rapidly deliver vaccines against the Ebola virus. “We intend to rapidly deliver the necessary tools to help Guinea, which has already developed a great deal of experience”, said at a press conference in Geneva professor Alfred George Ki-Zerbo of the WHO at the end of a meeting with the health authorities of Conakry.
Guinea’s announcement comes a week after eastern Congo confirmed it has registered cases. In North Kivu, 2 people also died here from the Ebola virus.
In West Africa, Ebola between 2013 and 2016 caused more than 11,300 deaths in 10 countries in the region.
