In Ontario 384 new cases and 12 deaths

Canada reached 1,404,798 positive cases yesterday, with an increase of 987 infections more than in the previous 24 hours. The victims – on a national scale – reached a total of 25,991 deaths yesterday, 27 more than on Tuesday.
In Canada, a total of 1,364,457 people were recovered from the coronavirus as of yesterday.
Ontario reached 540,810 overall positive cases yesterday, an increase of 384 new cases compared to Tuesday. Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 8,986, with 12 additional patients dying in Ontario.
Furthermore, 141,106 cases have been registered in Ontario of the English variant of Covid, 1,141 of the South African variant and 4,156 of the Brazilian variant. Recoveries in the province rose to 526,440, which is 645 more than the previous 24 hours. 438 people were admitted to a hospital yesterday, 308 of them in intensive care and 242 connected to ventilators for assisted breathing. There are currently 9 nursing homes and long-term care facilities that continue to register new cases of Covid-19.
Yesterday, 15,332 elderly patients were infected in total since the beginning of the pandemic and 3,965 total deaths so far recorded among the guests of the same structures.
In the same retirement homes until yesterday, 7,132 health workers were infected and 11 died. Meanwhile, 203 thousand vaccinations were carried out in a single day in Ontario.
