National Caucus meeting of Liberal MPs will take place this coming Wednesday

Corriere Canadese confirmed, from independent sources, that a National Caucus meeting of Liberal MPs will take place, this coming Wednesday, at 11:00 AM. A Caucus of the MPs from Ontario has also been scheduled for the night before, Tuesday.
The Agenda for both are speculative. That has not prevented political observers from opining on the future of Liberal leader Justin Trudeau.
Mr. Trudeau will be in Ottawa to attend a Committee [of Cabinet] to deal with Relations regarding the USA. Donald Trump’s inauguration is January 20, in exactly two weeks. Our Prime Minister and his Office have been positing that he, Trudeau, is the only one who can deal with [President-elect] Trump effectively.
Marco Mendicino, former Trudeau Cabinet Minister chose this weekend to announce (or confirm, depending on one’s perspective) that he would not seek re-election. Included among the reasons he cited was his perception, and regret, that Justin Trudeau has mishandled the Israeli-Hamas file.
The Parliamentary schedule calls for a return to the business of the House of Commons on Januaty 27, and, a week later, the Senate. If the House does reconvene, the Opposition parties have affirmed that they will will move and vote non-confidence and prompt an election.
