On New Year’s Eve, most people plan to close out the year with a celebration. Unfortunately, that was not the case for the motorists involved in a two-vehicle collision on the evening of December 31.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Lawrence Ave. West and Black Creek Drive. A truck in the southbound lanes on Black Creek veered off the road into the ditch south of Lawrence Ave W.

Two industrial tow trucks and a crane were on scene to help pull the partially submerged vehicle from the ravine. A Toronto Police spokesperson confirmed no occupants were submerged and only minor injuries were reported.
