Peel District School Board offers its schools to immunize
TORONTO – The Peel District School Board (PDSB) offers its schools as pop-up vaccination sites in hotspots in the region. The offer to Peel’s health officer, Dr. Lawrence Loh, was promoted by PDSB Director of Education Colleen Russell-Rawlins and supervisor Bruce Rodrigues. “We realize that vaccine stocks and space are limited – they wrote – as vaccine stocks become available since the vast majority of students are taking lessons virtually we are ready to work alongside them to make our school sites available during this period. ”Russell-Rawlins and Rodrigues also thanked Dr. Loh for his efforts to keep the community safe and said the board wishes to do its part in the fight against Covid-19 “We want to actively engage and be part of the solution for our education workers, our students, their families and communities who urgently need help to succeed in taming this pandemic,” they said. No further details have been released on which schools are available for pop-up clinics.
