Germany logged nearly 2,700 new infections in the last 24-hours. This is the lowest single-day increase in three months. Nearly 93% off all confirmed positive cases in the country have recovered. On Friday, following the easing of pandemic restrictions, beer gardens, cafes and restaurants began serving customers outdoors for the first time in months.

Globally, over 166 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 147 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3.4 million worldwide.

Spain has not updated the status of Covid-19 cases since May 21, 2021.
