On Monday, health officials in the Philippines logged 20,745 new infections. Of the cumulative 2.2 million confirmed positive cases, 90.4% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 163, bringing the total number of fatalities to 35,307.

Globally, over 225 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 202 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.6 million worldwide.
