On Tuesday, health officials in the UK logged 90,629 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 11.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 85.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 172 Covid-related deaths for a total of 147,433 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Globally, over 276 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 247 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.3 million worldwide.
