On Friday, health officials in Germany logged 229,989 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 12.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 70.9% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 215 Covid-related deaths for a total of 120,411 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Globally, over 407 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 328 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.7 million worldwide.
