On Wednesday, health officials in Germany logged 191,973 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 16.3 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 78.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 216 Covid-related deaths for a total of 125,515 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Globally, over 450 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 385 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.0 million worldwide.
