On Thursday, health officials in the UK logged 89,717 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 20.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 92.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 138 Covid-related deaths for a total of 163,386 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Globally, over 464 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 397 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.0 million worldwide.
