On Thursday, Germany logged 3,686 new infections in the last 24-hours bringing the total cases count to more than 3.7 million since the start of the pandemic. Of the cumulative total of confirmed positive cases, 95.1% are considered recovered. In the last day, Covid-related deaths increased by 95 for a total of 89,605 fatalities.

Globally, over 171 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 155 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3.5 million worldwide.
