On Saturday, heath officials in Russia logged 9,145 new infections in the last 24-hours. The official national tally is more than 5.1 million confirmed positive cases since the start of the pandemic. Of the cumulative total, 92.4% are considered recovered. In the last day, Covid-related deaths increased by 399 for a total of 123,436 fatalities.

Globally, over 172 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 156 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3.7 million worldwide.

Spain has not updated status of Covid-19 cases since June 4, 2021.
