On Saturday, health officials in the Philippines logged 6,040 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 1.5 million. Of the cumulative total, 95.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 122, bringing the total fatalities to 26,598.

Globally, over 189 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 173 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.0 million worldwide.

Spain has not provided an update of Covid-19 cases since July 16, 2021.
