Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
“The best things in life are free”, or so the saying goes. Sounds appropriate if the best chance at seeing an end to the Covid-19 pandemic is through vaccination. Who wouldn’t jump at the chance for life to return to normal? The fact that Covid-19 vaccines are free for anyone wanting added protection against a potentially lethal virus should be incentive enough.

The previous simple calculation is changing in Bangladesh. The delta variant identified in India is now spreading in its villages. Experts say the speed at which the infection is spreading may be out of control at some point. This situation is almost the same in the 32 districts around the border area. The health department thought that corona in Bangladesh would not be so prevalent in villages than urban areas. Now they say the situation is dire. →
