Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

TORONTO – Il tour europeo di Justin Trudeau è stato una boccata d’ossigeno, ma ora è tempo di affrontare le grane interne. Ieri il primo ministro è partito da Glasgow, in Scozia, e ha raggiunto Ottawa nel tardo pomeriggio. Dopo la visita ufficiale in Olanda, il Vertice G20 di Roma, gli incontri bilaterali – tra i quali anche quello con il premier italiano Mario Draghi – e il summit sul clima di Glasgow, Trudeau si prepara ad affrontare una serie di impegni a Parliament Hill che si preannunciano abbastanza impegnativi. After the official visit to the Netherlands, the G20 Summit in Rome, the bilateral meetings – including the one with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi – and the climate summit in Glasgow, Trudeau is preparing to face a series of commitments at Parliament Hill that promise quite challenging. These past thirteen months have been marked by an unusual way of communicating – Zoom. People have been working from home and resorting to this platform to discuss the status of whatever has been assigned to them. And, families and friends have been accessing the online chat feature of the app to connect with each other.
