Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – With respiratory diseases rampant and Ontario Children’s Hospitals full over the edge today, Chief Medical Officer of Health Kieran Moore will recommend residents of the province wear masks again. This was told to The Canadian Press by two sources close to the government who wished to remain anonymous as they were not authorized to speak about it publicly.
Air Canada will resume some routes to Jamaica, Mexico and Barbados in early May after Canadian airlines stopped all flights to solar destinations in January at the request of the federal government. However, Air Transat will not resume the flight until June. →
