TORONTO – Another 24 deaths related to Covid-19, today, in Ontario: despite the reassurances of the experts who speak of a descent of the curve, a decrease in hospitalizations and infections, an improvement in the situation, the virus continues to claim victims, whether they died with Covid (and therefore for other pathologies, but with the virus giving the “coup de grace”) or due to Covid. TORONTO – Hospitalizations due to or with Covid-19 still below a thousand in Ontario: today the number of inpatients went from 809 patients on Sunday to 890, thus remaining well under 1,000 while intensive care remained almost unchanged: 157 against 152 on Sunday. These figures are comforting, given that they also include the holiday Monday (Victoria Day) for which the numbers had not been disclosed.
TORONTO – The number of hospitalizations for or with Covid-19 in Ontario remains below 700 for the second in a row and intensive care hospitalizations are left below 250: today there were 693 patients in hospital – in ordinary wards – with coronavirus, against the 684 on Sunday, the ICU went from 247 to 249. Small increases, while some are still due to the fact that hospitals do not update the data over the weekend. The downward trend in hospitalizations in Ontario is therefore confirmed, despite the slight increases. →
