TORONTO – Sunday, April 16, Orthodox [Eastern Rite] Christians celebrate Easter. Nominal Christian politicos who missed the Western Rite [i.e.., Catholic] Easter because the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunts kept them out of religious ceremonies were able to make a show of respect to communities that still hold true to their religious beliefs.
The Toronto skyline is rapidly changing. Mass timber structures are springing up among the concrete and steel jungle. The newest addition to Toronto’s waterfront is underway at George Brown College, the site of Ontario’s tallest mass timber structure.

The intensifying climate crisis was top of mind for world leaders and climate experts at the COP26 Summit that ended in a last-minute compromise to “phase down” the use of coal.
Environmental activists point to greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) as one of the main culprits in the climate crisis. Pressure is mounting in the power sector to transition from GHG emitting sources of energy like coal to more renewable sources. Solar power appears to be leading the way.
