Meadowvale Theatre Closing for Renovations Until Summer 2022

The stage is set for Meadowvale Theatre to receive a much-needed makeover. Starting May 21, the theatre will close temporarily for renovations. The renovations will help transform the theatre into a more modern, inspiring, and accessible space. The theatre is planned to reopen in summer 2022, after renovations have been completed.

Toronto extends cancellation of major festivals and summer events until Labour Day

Some of Toronto’s major summer festivals, including the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), have been canceled for the second consecutive year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The slap in the face came on Friday (May 14), after the city announced that is extending the cancellation of in-person City-led and City-permitted outdoor events to September 6.

Alguns dos principais festivais de verão de Toronto, incluindo a Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), foram cancelados pelo segundo ano consecutivo devido à pandemia COVID-19. O balde de água fria chegou na sexta-feira (14 de maio), depois que a cidade anunciou que está a estender o cancelamento de eventos ao ar livre de responsabilidade municipal e autorizados pela cidade até ao dia 6 de setembro.

The 8th edition of the European Union’s Annual Short Film Festival returns in virtual format for the second consecutive year. This online event is presented in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union to Canada and the embassies and cultural institutes of participating EU member states.
