TORONTO – Wednesday 31 dead, today 32. In recent days, Covid-19 looks like a war bulletin. The number of victims in Ontario, since the beginning of the pandemic, is now rapidly approaching 13 thousand (today 12,921), while paradoxically, hospitalizations still drop from 1,698 to 1,676 (assuming that the decrease is not due to deaths more than to patient discharges). TORONTO – Today, Ontario did not report new deaths from Covid-19 for the first time in almost a month: the last day the province had reported no fatalities was last April 4. Since then, Ontario has recorded 370 deaths. The total since the beginning of the pandemic is 12,842. (more…)
TORONTO – 1,410 Covid patients present in Ontario hospitals today, 266 fewer than Saturday but 48 more than a week ago when they were 1,362. The data on hospitalizations, therefore, continue to be fluctuating, even if during the weekend not all hospitals provide updates. The number of patients in intensive care could therefore be even higher than that indicated today, namely 187. (more…)
TORONTO – Another 23 deaths in Ontario, today: the number of victims of Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 12,606. And after just one day of respite, hospitalizations are starting to rise again: today there were 1,392 patients in hospitals against 1,332 just 24 hours earlier.
