Created prior to the 1914 provincial election, the electoral district of Niagara Falls is rich in history. Situated at the southwest shore of Lake Ontario, it encompasses the City of Niagara Falls and the towns of Niagara-on-the-Lake and Fort Erie. Sooner or later, something was bound to break. It has been that type of year for the HCDSB. Meetings are frequently uncompleted, compelling the Board to call follow-up meeting to conclude its business. The focus of debates has been diverted by contentious issues that have little to do with school [academic] performance.
A fairly new district, Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas was created in 2015 and situated west of “the Mountain”. The constituency covers a span of 100 square km and encompasses the communities of Ancaster and Dundas.
As of 2016, the riding had a population of 113,025. The area is a popular place to call home for many ethnic groups. Italians, at 12% of the district population, are one of the largest cultural groups which originate from Europe. (more…)

Travelling out of Northern Ontario, we head into the area of South-Central Ontario to focus on the electoral district of Simcoe-Grey. Situated along the southern tip of Georgian Bay, the district encompasses one of the region’s most popular destinations, Wasaga Beach, a two-hour drive 145 km north of Toronto.
