Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – After the brief stalemate of recent months, vaccines now continue to flow continuously. This week Canada will receive about 5 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine. Five million that will bring the total number of doses received to 68 million, enough to administer two doses to all 33.2 million Canadians aged 12 years and over. Children under the age of 12 will have to wait for the completion of tests in this age group before they can be immunized. (more…)
MASSA CARRARA – Everyone wants the Green Pass but not everyone wants to get vaccinated. Then, there are those who have had more than two doses of vaccine but they just can’t get the Green Pass. It’s the case of Virginia G., the 23-year-old girl from Massa, in Tuscany, a master’s student in Psychology in Pisa, who was injected with six doses of anti-Covid Pfizer vaccine by mistake, on 9 May at the hospital “Noa” di Massa (the number of injected doses was then adjusted from four to six by the ASL of Massa Carrara). TORONTO – Ontario sets a new vaccination record; more than 202,000, according to covid19tracker.ca, but at the same time, the problems that emerged on the second vaccination for the residents of the hotspots were not solved. TORONTO – Os habitantes do Ontário que receberam a primeira dose da vacina Oxford-AstraZeneca poderão receber a segunda dose após oito semanas. Mais uma vez, o governo muda de ideias. E isso acontece apenas dois dias depois. A ministra da Saúde, Christine Elliott, disse na quinta-feira que aqueles que receberam a AstraZeneca como primeira dose teriam que esperar 12 semanas inteiras antes de serem inoculados, mesmo que fosse uma vacina de mRNA.
