Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
The new Omicron variant is a risk in long-term care homes. And Ontario is trying to play ahead by putting in place temporary measures that will come into effect starting tomorrow when access to CTCs by general visitors will be suspended while only designated caregivers will be able to continue to enter long-term care homes. The daily absences of all residents for social reasons were also suspended.
TORONTO – The pressure of the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) and the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) is becoming more and more insistent. The two associations do not stop in front of the wall opposed by Prime Minister Doug Ford and ask that all health workers in the province be completely vaccinated against Covid-19. (more…)

Following three other tremors recorded by the Ingv (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology), with an epicenter in the open sea, 10 kilometers deep: the second at 15 of magnitude 4.1; the third, of 15.09, of 2.6, and the fourth of 15.12, of 3.4. The earthquake was felt above all in Puglia, Basilicata, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Lazio and the Marche. (more…)
