Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

TORONTO – The kindest thing one can say about some of The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) Trustees is that they are preparing for election day October 24, 2022. Everything they say and do must be seen through a political lens.
Sooner or later, something was bound to break. It has been that type of year for the HCDSB. Meetings are frequently uncompleted, compelling the Board to call follow-up meeting to conclude its business. The focus of debates has been diverted by contentious issues that have little to do with school [academic] performance.

Four Federal Members of Parliament took time out of their all-consuming fight against the Spread of Omicron to send a letter via twitter (and other digital media) to weigh in on the most urgent matter afflicting the regional municipality of Halton.
