The provincial electoral district of Hamilton East-Stoney Creek was created in 2007. It is situated at the western tip of Lake Ontario along the southern shore. The riding encompasses part of the City of Hamilton and includes several communities like Stoney Creek that lie north of the Niagara Escarpment.
If it appears that time drags on with little to no change, that may be an accurate observation. At least when it comes to legal matters before the courts. Specifically, the matter in which a Halton Catholic District School Board trustee is concerned.
On January 18, nearly one year to the date of arrest (January 21, 2021), Oakville trustee, Nancy Guzzo was scheduled to appear (for the ninth time) with her Counsel in the Hamilton courts before a judge to dispose of criminal fraud charges – twelve in total. St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) opens Ontario’s first Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Clinic. It is the first of its kind in the province, dedicated to treating outpatients with Covid-19 who are at a greater risk of severe illness, complications and hospitalization.
The constituency of Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution. It includes part of the City of Hamilton and encompasses the communities of Ancaster and Dundas.
Historically, the Hamilton area has been popular among immigrant groups, most notably those originating from Europe. Therefore, it is not surprising to find that Italians make up 12% of the district’s population. (more…)
