TORONTO – 1,410 Covid patients present in Ontario hospitals today, 266 fewer than Saturday but 48 more than a week ago when they were 1,362. The data on hospitalizations, therefore, continue to be fluctuating, even if during the weekend not all hospitals provide updates. The number of patients in intensive care could therefore be even higher than that indicated today, namely 187. (more…)
TORONTO – The number of infected patients in Ontario hospitals continues to grow: today it rose to 1,730 from 1,455 twenty-four hours earlier. The total number of people admitted to intensive care is stable: 219. Tuesday’s report therefore marks an increase of 275 patients overall in a single day. (more…)

TORONTO – The number of patients in Ontario hospitals due to (45%) or with (55%) Covid-19 continues to grow. Today, for the first time since mid-February, they were 1.662, from 1.486 on Tuesday and 1.301 on Monday. 203 patients in intensive care (yesterday 206: 59% are in the ICU due to the virus, 41% for other reasons and tested positive for Covid-19 at the time of the hospital admission test). And above all, many deaths: another 28 today. The total death toll in Ontario since the start of the pandemic is now 12,661. (more…)
