Ontario, hospitalizations fall but the positivity is growing

TORONTO – 551 Covid-inpatients in hospital, of which 181 (-1) in intensive care: it is the lowest number of hospitalizations in Ontario since the end of December. There were also few deaths today: 4, bringing the total from the beginning of the pandemic to 12,336. However, the positivity rate goes up, from 12% on Sunday to 13.4% today, based on the 1,217 cases of Covid-19 identified in the last 24 hours through 8,644 tests (limited, we remind you, to the “at risk” categories only ). Covid-19, hospitalizations still down but the deaths don’t stop

TORONTO – Covid-19: the number of hospitalized in Ontario still drops, but the number of victims remains high: today another 19 bringing the total from the beginning of the pandemic to 12,307. Even today, however, it is not known which deaths, of those in recent days, were caused by the virus and which by other diseases with the virus in coexistence: the provincial health authorities did not specify this, contrary to what they had announced last week.  (more…)
