Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.

This is the crossroads at which the ruling class of the Conservative Party finds itself, which has to deal with the creeping discontent of the Tory base dissatisfied with the defeat at the polls and the impatience of a large group of parliamentarians already ready to question the leadership of the former minister for veteran affairs. TORONTO – There are trips, school assemblies, music education and extracurricular activities in the return-to-school plan released yesterday by the Ministry of Education. Twenty-nine pages that contain the plan for the full-time return of both elementary and high school students even if the option of distance learning always remains valid. From September, students “will attend face-to-face classes every day for the entire school day (five hours of instruction) in elementary and secondary schools throughout the province. For secondary schools, “some school councils may implement an alternate week or ‘modified semester’ pattern.” (more…)
Police are asking for help in identifying the suspect who allegedly opened fire inside a restaurant on Saturday and killed a 25-year-old man, injured his father, mother, younger brother and employee. (more…)
