TORONTO – Extending the mask mandate, which was due to expire tomorrow, until June 11 is not enough. The controversy, following the announcement of the Ontario government, was not long in coming because “this decision is not able to mitigate this sixth wave of Covid-19”. More needs to be done, in essence.
TORONTO – Transparency finally made some headway at the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB). After some procedural wranglings, lasting close to two hours, the TCDSB gave Principles Integrity (Yes, it’s a real corporate name) its walking papers.

TORONTO – The controversy shows no sign of subsiding after the government revoked the obligation to wear masks, as well as in numerous public facilities, even in schools in Ontario.
TORONTO – The hospitalizations decrease almost every day, the positivity rate as well but there is a number that never goes down, in the daily Covid-19 data: that of deaths. Today in Ontario, 41 were registered and, even if the Ministry of Health is keen to emphasize that most of these are “earlier” deaths, the data cannot fail to worry and in any case raises the tragic death toll in the province, from the beginning of the pandemic, to 12,347.
