Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – The Columbus Centre will continue to be called the Columbus Centre. That’s right. After having averted, with a mobilization that lasted more than a year its demolition, the community rejected the renaming of the community center wanted and created by the Italian-Canadians.
When considering the world’s wealthiest sports teams, soccer clubs draw in big money. In 2020, the combined value among the top 10 giants was about $36.5 Billion USD, according to the Forbes list of the world’s richest soccer clubs.
So as not to offend any Juventus fans, Italy’s most valuable club appears on the list at number eleven, with a market value worth nearly $2 B.
