Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – Kuné significa “Insieme” in Esperanto, la lingua creata dall’oftalmologo di Varsavia Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof nel 1887, che intendeva creare un “mezzo” universale per la comunicazione internazionale. Quindi, quale parola (e linguaggio) migliore per nominare un’orchestra composta da elementi provenienti da ogni angolo del mondo?
TORONTO – Kuné means “Together” in Esperanto, the language created by the Warsaw-based ophthalmologist Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof in 1887, who intended to create the universal language for international communication. So, what better word (and language) to name an orchestra made up of elements from every corner of the world?
